Digital Art Capture

Turn your original artwork into a flawless, high-resolution digital file – ready to reproduce, print, license, or archive.

Photographed by our Fine Art department on a professional medium-format capture system, color-managed for true-to-original results.

WHAT IS DIGITAL ART CAPTURE

Digital art capture creates a large, high-resolution digital file from your two- or three-dimensional artwork. Unlike a flatbed or drum scan (best for flat work on paper), digital capture photographs your piece, so it handles textured paintings, canvas, mixed media, and dimensional objects without ever touching the surface.

With that master file, you can reproduce your work as fine-art prints, license it, sell it, post it online, or preserve it as a permanent archive, all from a single capture.

Who it’s for:

Painters and mixed-media artists, galleries and collectors, illustrators, and estates archiving a body of work.

DIGITAL CAPTURE VS. SCANNING

Not sure which you need? Quick guide:

digital capture

Choose digital capture for paintings on canvas, textured or impasto work, mixed media, and large pieces,. Nothing touches the artwork.

scanning

Choose scanning (flatbed, Imacon, or drum) for flat art and photographs on paper, negatives, slides, and chromes, where the piece can lie flat. Not sure? Tell us about your piece and we’ll recommend the right approach.
